Leave CCF and turn left, go up to the traffic lights straight on into Coulsdon, following the A23 north to Purley. Continue towards Croydon on the Brighton Road, past Purley Oaks, South Croydon bus garage, Whitgift School and all the way to Croydon when you reach the bridge over the road. Follow the road round to right and up the slip road towards the Fairfield Halls and get across into the middle or right hand lane at the lights. Follow the lane onto the roundabout and then round to the right and up Barclay Road, past the right hand side of the Fairfield Halls. The road goes over Arnham Bridge and then becomes Fairfield Road. Go straight on at the roundabout into Chepstow Road and follow the road on over the tramlink crossing and another mile to the roundabout at the end.
Turn left onto the A215 Shirley Road at the roundabout and go down the hill to the bottom where you turn right at the lights onto the A222 Lower Addiscombe Road. Get in the left hand lane and turn left at the next lights into Spring Lane. You will go over the bridge at Woodside tramlink station before coming to another set of lights where you turn right into the A215 Portland Road. You will follow this road for a while, passing under the bridge at Norwood Junction Station. Follow straight on up South Norwood Hill, through another set of lights, to the top, turning right at the traffic lights just past the Beulah TV transmitter into Church Road. Follow Church Road and you will come to the Crystal Palace one-way system. You have to turn left into Westow Street; follow up to the next set of lights where you turn right into Church Road (still one-way). Get into the left hand lane and turn left at the traffic lights into a very wide road called Crystal Palace Parade. You will pass the Crystal Palace TV transmitter on your right. Go straight on at the traffic lights and the first roundabout but left at the second roundabout, which is immediately after the first one.
You are now in Sydenham Hill. Follow Sydenham Hill for about ½ a mile. You will take the 4th right (I believe) which is Wells Park Road which you come to just before the road bends to the right ahead of you with a large pub (Dulwich Woodman?) On the left). Go down Wells Park Road and take the 4th right into Coombe Road. The venue is the church hall on your right.
TRAINS
The nearest station is Sydenham. Come out of the station and
walk towards the roundabout, bearing right into Kirkdale. Walk on the left hand
side and Wells Park Road is the second left (just after Jews Walk). Coombe Road
is (I believe) the 5th left just up the road from there. 10 mins
approx.
