Please note that we do not have room for all parents
to stay so please drop-off your child with all they will need for the day.
We now have a limited capacity for parents to stay. It will be for those who
require to supervise their child, for those who have very young children
who are playing and those who have travelled a long distance. This is on a first
come - first served basis, and spaces will be judged on a need by need basis.
Please email us to confirm if you wish to book a space before paying for your
child. If you book and we do not have space you will be refunded minus an admin
fee.
Rules
1.
The tournament arrival time will be 10am. Parents should allow until 17.30 but
we expect to be finished before then. Please note that we
do not have room for parents
to stay so please drop-off your child with all they will need for the day.
2. This competition will be a 7 round competition with rounds starting at 10.30, 11.30, 12.30, 13.30, 14.30, 15.30 and 16.30.
3. The time control will be 25 minutes each per game.
4. Full FIDE laws of chess will be in operation in all sections.
5.
Players will be in the level that they currently
are in the Institute of Chess levels structure. We will be having a Level
2, 3, 4 and 5 section.
We will consider a level 1 section if enough players who are eligible for it
book in or enquire.
6. The event will be fully rated by the English Chess Federation (ECF) and FIDE (the international chess body).
7. Players must be a Junior Silver, or higher, member of the ECF. This can be done by visiting www.englishchess.org.uk
8. Every participant will receive a medal for playing. There will be placing medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each section.
Conditions of Entry
1 The decisions of the organisers are final.
2 CCF have the normal Public Liability insurance to cover all our Adult and Junior events.
3 Players and parents are reminded that the playing hall is strictly out of bounds except for those still playing (and captains whose teams are still playing in the case of team events).
4 If you are not coming for any reason or if you are running late, you notify CCF on 020 8645 9586 as soon as possible. For events held outside Coulsdon, you will find details for a mobile number included on the confirmation email. Please appreciate that "no shows" in team events cause major difficulties and can delay the start.
5 It is a condition of entry to any CCF event that CCF may list all results (including names and schools) on our web site.
6 Parents agree that they will accept any instructions from CCF staff and the staff hosting the venue we are using - and that their child's entry/score could be risk if they refuse such an instruction.
